BANAT (El Azrak x x Bandola) was one of the greats of Polish breeding, and was named
National Champion Stallion of UK . His Dam waas the Swedish-bred Cantata by Litaur
( Duch xLaguna) and out of Canaria ( Trypolis x Saga) Bataann's racing stock was sought
after on these continents and in the US. He's sired the illustrious two-time Darley Horse
of the YearNF PROOF (x Szalka)Racing top ten monney winners."It's easy to be
mesnerirez by Bataann's large Black eyes , regal expression and long swan-like neck.

LABOR DAY 1990 weekend a Delaware Park also featured the race which Dr Hammer helped to create fund , and turn into the most important victory in arabian racing. - the Armand Hammer Classic . This year, it was NF PROOF (*Bataan x *Salzka) who prevailed , capturing the one victory which had managed to elude him . He was nosed-out at the wire by Imperial Nalaseed in last year's running. ow owned by PAOLO GUCCI 's Milfield Stables and Standing at Stud Nodorama Farms in Florida , NF PROOF was returning to racing after having bred 38 mares this season and settling 35.
PROOF's first start in 1990 was six-furlong tune-up contest in mid-August , which he own . While he entered the 1990 Hammer as the betting favorite, he was not the high-weighted runners. Carrying 126 pounds, NF PROOF relinquished that dubious distinction to a california Horse with some recent big wins - Magna Terra Smoky - who packed an inhospitable 130 pounds . He never proved to be any competition for NF PROOF. Mike Economopoulos's KA Kzubuthan ( Brusally Orzelost x Chambray) finished second , one length behind PROOF & GUCCI's other entry , SAM TIKI (*Sambor x Kyla Tiki) ran third . PROOF's winning time for the 1 1/4 race was 2:19 . 3 3/5 ( the record arabian time is 2.17)
"We're very happy" commented Nodorama Farms genral Manager Deryle Duncan . "and i think that NF PROOF has proven everything he needde to prove. There was some question as to whether we would bring him out this year after such a full breeding season- I guess I wanted him to race at least as much as Mr. GUCCI or Kay Daniel , Millfield' general Manager did. This will probably be his last year on the track - from now on, we'll let his foals do his winning for him
